The challenge
A wrap craftsman who works at his clients’ homes has no storefront and no established reputation. The need: a site that generates qualified quote requests for two very different audiences — the individual who wants a new look without losing their car for a week at a distant garage, and the business whose van “drives around bare,” wasting free advertising every day. It must convince both while answering concrete fears: bubbles, peeling, botched results, opaque pricing.
A second, defining constraint: no invented social proof. At launch the craftsman had no publishable reviews or stats yet, so the site had to stay credible and “honest by default” — showing a real fallback (guaranteed premium films, jobsite photos) until a real figure was supplied, never a fake counter. Finally, it had to win local SEO across a cross-border market (northern France + Tournai, Belgium).
The solution: a landing that generates quotes
A conversion-first one-page landing, backed by a network of local SEO pages and a lightweight back office (database + branded transactional emails).
Two-step conversion funnel
An above-the-fold hero mini-form that pre-fills the full quote form below and auto-scrolls to it.
Quote form + back office
Blur validation, honeypot anti-spam; on submit, a PostgreSQL insert and two emails (craftsman notification and branded client confirmation).
Programmatic local SEO
Around sixty routes — by brand, by vehicle, pricing, blog, kit shop — all prioritized, with AutoRepair JSON-LD, fr-FR / fr-BE hreflang and geo meta.
Honest social proof
A two-tier system: real hand-entered Google reviews today, automatic sync later. Every stat stays empty until it is real, and the UI falls back to a substitute proof.
Real project gallery
Real jobsite photos, in AVIF, with a multi-image carousel per project.
Cinematic design system
A dark “graphite + signal-red” theme, Anton/Inter type, hand-built animations (scroll-reveal, parallax, card-shine) that respect prefers-reduced-motion.
The product
A journey built for conversion, from the hero promise to the real jobsite gallery.

Under the hood
A lean, modern stack: Next.js 16 (App Router) server-rendered, Tailwind v4 “CSS-first” (theme in @theme), no heavy UI dependencies. Brand content is centralized in TypeScript files, never hard-coded in markup.
Honesty enforced in code
Proof content stays empty until it is real: displaying a fake figure becomes mechanically impossible.
Industrialized SEO
Around sixty landing pages, a prioritized sitemap and rich structured data (ratings and reviews) for snippets.
Full lead pipeline
From click to a minimal CRM: form → PostgreSQL → branded HTML emails, safe in Gmail and Outlook.
My role
End-to-end design and build of the site, from visual design to technical integration and SEO.
Design & art direction
A dark, cinematic visual system, signal-red identity, components.
Front & back development
From-scratch Next.js / React, API route, PostgreSQL and SMTP integration.
SEO
A ~60-page architecture, structured data, sitemap, geo and bilingual metadata.
Integration & deployment
Branded transactional emails, deployment on Vercel.
A craftsman’s landing page turned into a quote engine: nearly sixty SEO pages, a complete conversion funnel and a 100% real social-proof base — without a single invented figure.
